Program Overview

This pioneering program in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector is designed as a training initiative aimed at creating direct employment opportunities by empowering and training ICT graduates in collaboration with private sector companies and service providers. The project was implemented according to the highest global standards and capacity-building models, covering 12 technical tracks identified based on the needs of both local and international labor markets. The total funding for the project is €93,000, and it was implemented from 2022 to 2023.

Objectives

  1. Enhancing Employment Opportunities: Improve the ability of ICT graduates in the Central Region of Jordan to secure jobs by providing market-driven training that meets local and international demands.
  2. Developing Career Pathways: Offer a specialized career path based on scientific and market studies, training 25 young men and women in English language skills, personal development, and technical skills.
  3. Maximizing Economic Impact: Increase the global market share of Jordanian products and workforce by enhancing access to new projects and employment opportunities.

Project Phases

Preparation Phase: In collaboration with the private sector, participants are selected and their training needs are identified.

Training Phase: Technical and professional training is provided in partnership with internationally recognized training institutes.

Employment Phase: Participants receive on-the-job training opportunities in collaboration with companies, ensuring their employment after completing the program successfully.

Follow-up and Evaluation Phase: Participant performance is monitored to ensure the achievement of the set objectives.

  • 64 job opportunities were created.

  • 150 participants benefited from the training.

  • Jordanian youth were equipped to enter the global labor market with high competency.
