Broccoli and Bayt AL Ebdaa Successfully Conclude “Solar Pioneers – Phase I” Training Workshop for Syrian Refugees Participants

Broccoli for Development and Capacity Building, in partnership with Bayt AL Ebdaa for Renewable Energy, has successfully concluded the “Solar Pioneers – Phase I”  – Ruwad Al Shams – training workshop, a specialized program designed to enhance solar energy expertise among Syrian refugees participants in Jordan. The intensive week-long workshop, which concluded on 31 July 2025, equipped trainees with comprehensive skills in solar energy system design, installation, and maintenance.

Workshop Highlights and Objectives

The “Solar Pioneers” initiative focused on:

  • Building technical capacity in solar photovoltaic (PV) system design and implementation
  • Enhancing employability in Syria and Jordan’s growing renewable energy sector
  • Supporting sustainable development through green skills training
  • Promoting social integration through professional upskilling

The curriculum covered advanced topics including:
✓ Fundamentals of solar energy conversion technologies
✓ Optimal design standards for solar systems
✓ Best practices in installation and project execution
✓ Effective operation and maintenance of solar projects
